Yeah, he’s young so inexperienced. He comes to me and my parents for advice, we don’t pry, but once we start trying to gently tell him what we think he should do he shuts it down once he starts hearing things he doesn’t want to. It’s not his first relationship but it’s his longest one so far, his previous ones were only a couple months long. I try to be there for him and give him advice, now she’s involving me in their arguments when I don’t wish to be, and my only crime is that my brother and I are close and talk a lot. I’m really trying to explain to him how toxic and not normal her actions and words are; I don’t want him stuck with someone that will make him miserable. He is so stressed out because of her and I just want him to finally meet a good girl that makes him happy and doesn’t cause pointless fights or issues every week. I definitely am not possessive of my brother like other commenters are trying to say, because of course obviously he’s gonna have girlfriends, I just want the best for him.

It's not creepy like it would be if you were younger, but if you're looking for a long-term relationship, you do want to consider how you'd feel if they retired a decade before you.
