My husband is a thrill seeker with many of the same hobbies as you. I am more reserved and generally have less adventurous hobbies. We also have hobbies we both enjoy and do together. We both enjoy our hobbies separately and then talk about them with each other. After 10 years together, it's still a positive thing we have our own interests.
Look, you’re not going to come to a place where you believe everything in the Bible 100% happened unless you’re willing to completely turn your brain off. He’s the kind of religious that believes he is right and everyone not in his specific denomination is wrong to varying degrees. But he’s also too insecure about it to have an open discussion without getting defensive about your questions. He’s assuming you will eventually see the truth, convert, and not feel the need to question doctrine after that. If that doesn’t happen, it’s not going to work longterm.
