I think you are really overthinking all of this. I think you should announce the pregnancy to your family. More than likely it will remove the awkwardness you say they have which honestly sounds like the pains of getting to know someone. Also they will probably end up more focused on you and your girlfriend and the relationship they have with your ex will fade into a sweet acquaintance that they have fond memories of. I think just letting time do it’s job will take care of this.
