Firstly he didn't tell you he went, so if he was really being fair he would have told you his expectation ahead of time.

He started trying to bring up an idea of fairness and put you down and make you feel worse about yourself in the relationship so that you would shut up and let this go and you'll forget what you actually needed done. Over time eventually you'll learn to just never ask for anything because he'll make it so difficult and painful to say anything that you learn to give up ahead of time just to “appease” him. That's not a relationship. He's taking advantage of you, and he knows it, and he's planting the seed to make it worse and worse til you don't even realize how easily you were duped. It will keep growing.
Your boyfriend is not trustworthy and not honest with you. And he knows it, and he doesn't care, so long as making you feel bad about yourself means avoiding his responsibilities and getting what he wants. He is exploiting you.
