Y’all are acting like OP grunted at his wife and her guests (or completely ignored them) when he came in. He didn’t. He gave an informal greeting and said he was going to go lay down. That isn’t rude. Was it the MOST polite he could have been? No. But, it wasn’t particularly rude either.
I disagree that she should be taken for everything just because she’s changed her mind about how she wants to live her life. By the sounds of it it’s not that she doesn’t want to be a mom, it’s that she doesn’t want to ONLY be a mom. To be fair this is one side of the story. Maybe she waits on him hand and foot and he’s a completely unappreciative slob… We don’t know and it’s actually not relevant really but the point is that in marriage, people have the option of changing their mind. It’s better that she asked for alternatives rather than just saying the only solution was a divorce.
As everyone else has said, no what he did was not normal. Block him everywhere and stay away.
