People aren’t good guys or villains. We’re not in the MCU. She may have had selfish reasons for straying, but OP states that she also had valid reasons for splitting up. He’s acknowledging his part in all of this. He even acknowledges that she could potentially have been withholding information about the affair to protect his feelings. Why is that so hot to believe? I think it’s completely plausible.
He’s hurt and he’s asking for advice on how to navigate the situation. He’s not the one villianizing her. It’s the people in the comments who are.
My advice to him would be to take a week or so to reflect on it. If it’s something that he can’t live with, he should confront her about it. I feel really bad for him.
