  1. She doesn't sound very understanding or forgiving. I don't think you should go out of obligation, and while it sucks, her reaction is like… her problem. You have to do what is best for you.

The only way out of it without her getting weird is making up a big lie to shift the blame off of you but that would get messy fast

  2. I'm sorry you're going through it as well. There are folks out there who have less interest in a body shape and more interest in being with someone who has love to spare with little judgment and a lot of understanding. I hope you find that… bc she's in for some very shallow, toxic, and repetitive relationships.

  3. It wasn't out of nowhere. It couldn't have been. At some point in the past before last night, your wife was flirting with that person with intent to fuck.

  4. Wait… youre claiming you came at it with facts when you fuckes up the time line?….. fuuuuckkkk.. you're so delusional we must have dated before…. I bet you love chocolate chip waffles with butter and honey no syrup

  5. I will say for context that premarital sex is not permitted in my religion (I and my wife are Orthodox Jews). I'm in a shidduch marriage (married 12 years in July).

Big problem here is that in my culture there is a stereotype of young religious men “taking advantage” of young religious women. Promising “by the book”, but requesting sex and loudly denying it if the woman speaks up. Not to mention the horribly unfair disadvantage women face in our society concerning this stigma.

Fundamentally sex is a beautiful thing, one of the most incredible things we engage in as human beings. It's a celebration of life and living. But if it's misused, misapplied, it can lead to power imbalance, exploitation, and more horrible crimes that we all are well aware of.

Once a relationship has become sexual, it doesn't usually go back the other way. I don't think your premarital sex is “wrong”, to be very clear. I just want to bring up the topic of this dynamic as it's not something I see represented very often on Reddit which trends highly anti-religion.

DISCLAIMER: none of my comment should read as an endorsement of my views. I am a firm believer that religion is, and should stay, deeply personal and not impact others' lives.

  6. You say people lie But then say that there is zero chance that this man lied about his behaviours

We need to stop telling women that it’s their own fault when men treat them badly.

You are also ignoring the reality that maybe there were signs and red flags, but not everyone is able to pick up on those or notice those right away. If people grew up with unhealthy relationships around them, they don’t realise that the things that are happening to them are unhealthy or abusive.

You just want to blame women for men being shit. A woman comes here asking for advice and you’re basically saying that she deserves it.

  7. You wanna share your financial secrets and move in after 4 dates over the course of 6 months?

I guess it’s been a minute since I’ve been lobe drunk, but does that really sound like a good idea to you?
