1. When I was first learning about texting and dating, this was my rule for myself: when you send a text, give the other person a day to respond before following up. One full day. This worked well for me for many reasons. It demonstrates respect for their time, it makes you appear less desperate, and it gives you a cool-down period to be less anxious about it. Sometimes people have other shit going on in their day. Sometimes they get distracted and forget. You need to give your partners space for this to happen.

   If you have plans together I guess that’s a different story. But as long as they’re not making a habit out of it

3. I am usually friendly when I drink, I’ve hugged/danced with strangers on a night out. He was worried about me with his roommate so I think maybe over analyzed. I want to talk to him about counseling, might help him with his issues and have someone to meditate things. If things work out between us I plan on expressing my feelings about this more and hopefully prevent it from happening again
