The ultimatum WAS the best thing to do. The relationship is over if he goes, even without the ultimatum he is choosing his friends (and this girl) over your feelings. If you've been honest with this person and he's seen pics your weight shouldn't be some impediment for him. But it's just reality that most internet relationships do fizzle once people meet IRL.
