It's totally logical to think like this, but it's also totally logical for it to annoy someone who has a friendship with another and you basically tell them to alter their friendship significantly for your own sake. If they are a causal friend, it's easy to do.

The best way to deal with this isn't to make ultimatums but to personally and organically create a very strong and similar bond with your partner and then over time your relationship will naturally take precedence and they will naturally prioritize you or it won't be so very hot to convince them to do so.
The question is wether you are patient enough and trust them enough to pull it off.
If you can't then you should spare yourselves the arguements and go separate ways and that's okay too.
I don't really like the public place ranting your boyfriend gave you? ?. Maybe he lost his cool but he should apologise for it and it's not cool that he just said you were also down for drinking with the 2 of them without confirming. In this sense concerns are very much justified.
