If he's just a business partner then treat it as a business matter. His partner is opening your husband's business up to a huge and very easily provable quid pro quo sexual harassment case, which can easily bankrupt the business if it's not setup correctly and/or does not have the right insurance. Ethics aside intercompany relationships can only be setup where there is no direct reporting relationship or overlap in working relationships, clearly not the case here.
Yeah he's a cheating scumbag but if it's just a business relationship then your husband's the one who needs to handle it. Tell him to sit down with his partner, let him know that he's aware of the relationship and it's an unacceptable risk to the business, and he needs to end it. Whether he chooses to go back to his wife and beg forgiveness, exit the business and his marriage, etc. is then up to the scumbag to decide. Your husband also needs to know 1) how much damage his employee/partner's mistress can do if he goes back home and she files the inevitable lawsuit and 2) what his options are for exiting the business since his partner is clearly an ass.
This is not just a morality play, your husband's business partner has put your family's livelihood at risk by giving his mistress an incredible amount of leverage. Anything your husband does with his business no matter how legitimate from now on risks a nuclear retaliation thanks to his idiot partner.
