My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 9 years and have 2 kids together. Today I found a newly written letter in my boyfriends coat pocket and in said letter my boyfriend talked about how heās always loved this girl and just life has gotten in the way as to why they never got to try to date. It was a whole story on how he fell for her and how he still canāt fight this intense feeling he has for her. At the end of the letter he writes how he sees now that she doesnāt feel the same and that he hopes her to be happy even if itās not the happily ever after he wished he could of gave her.
Iām not sure how I should handle this, I am pretty sad to learn that Iāve just been second fiddle the past 9 years. He seems to have ended it but I feel like this should of happened years ago. He doesnāt know I read the letter yet and part of me doesnāt even want to bring it up. What could he possibly say that wasnāt said in this letter.

Iām on team wife here based on OPās comments. He has a drinking problem (has stopped but has only been sober for a week), and his family is āconservative and christianā which implies some things that might explain Why she doesnāt want to visit them. The gaming – since I donāt trust OP as a narrator, I bet itās quite excessive and affects how much energy he has for other things.

The 99 present is more about her behavior in general. I mean I can tolerate the rare overreaction but I feel her overreacting andrhinking I'm being direct fully is why she misunderstood me behind my back or maybe she doesn't know I'm her son so so it doesn't matter who she's talking to.
