Not sure what “advice” you're looking for here with this post. Probably more appropriate for the trueoffmychest (or whatever sub it's called).
If you're looking for affirmation that you did nothing wrong, then, I'd agree.
A) It's your residence. Who you allow in it is your call just as who you kick out of it.

Watch your back. An ex showing up can mean nothing, or, can lead to a total breakup depending on how things go. Yes, this is from experience.
