It's okay for you to explain to him that you two are very incompatible sex wise and that will only create unhappiness and frustration in a romantic relationship, so you don't want to sabotage your friendship over it.

Stop it! You are just using this “diagnosis” BS as an excuse to contact her when she specifically told you not to. Your claim that you believe it will help her recover is just your way of excusing yourself for doing something she specifically asked you not to do.
Leave your ex alone. Do not contact her in any way for a year. Doing what she asked is going to be WAY more important to her and her journey to recover from your abuse than any “diagnosis” you might get.
