Actually what he said was that’s what she said to him. She used that as the reason she had “a fling,” was because she was waiting for him to figure out what he wanted. However, if she was so into him, why not bring it up to him herself? Yes, they both have to agree. But, she told her family about him. Most people don’t disclose a FWB to family, unless they have reason to believe it is/could be more.
My point with this, is he confronted her (which implies feelings-because let’s face it, if they’re just doing the nasty, why would he care)? Then continued to lie to him.
6 months of dating, telling your family about this guy, only to turn around and have a fling, then lie about it. He specifically says the night before he realized she’s still talking/texting and hanging out with the guy, and is “still” lying about it.
Why lie about anything if it’s a FWB situation? There’s nothing to lie about. Unless it’s dating to see where things go.
Either way, OP needs to jump into this and confirm or deny his verbiage here. Because there’s obviously a lot open to interpretation. But what did get me was him specifically saying she’s still lying. Omission is still lying. Then apparently, after he confronted her, somewhere there was some expectation of her dropping the new dude. Now, did he just expect that? (One could argue the fact he confronted her implies something got said that he expected the guy to get dropped).
I just don’t understand people who aren’t direct and can’t communicate. If I date someone, I’m direct up front-are we dating to work towards something or are you using me until you find something else? It saves a lot of crap later on. Like this situation.
You don’t have a choice, but to get a restraining order against him. He tried to kill you in another country and threatened to rip up your passport so you couldn’t come home.
