Where you lose my support is the threat to not let them in if they bring a gift.
My husband and I DID say “gifts are not needed” but we recognized that people were likely to ignore us, so we DID set up a gift/card box at our wedding… and MOST folks did not bring gifts, but… enough did that I'm glad that we planned for it.
Just as you hate the gifts, some LOVE gifting… So set your preference of no gifts, and then be gracious if they choose to ignore your preference.

Thank you. I’m not sure there’s any coming back from it unfortunately. She found messages in which I told a 17 year old that their selling of nudes was “risky yet hard. “ while I didn’t mean it was nude to me, more “not my monkey not my circus. Someone is into it I’m sure. “ and reported it, I absolutely fucked up. The onus is totally on me and there is no excuse.
UPDATE: brought it up to her and she showed me proof that it was a number her friends boyfriend called and she told her to call it and see who it was and then blocked it after the escort starting contacting my girlfriend again.
Yeah, that’s a really terrible to feel like you’re being used. You sound like a great person, so I imagine you could find somebody else easily but since you’ve been together so long, I imagine giving up on a relationship is not so easy. Maybe wait to see how things continue to develop? The truth about things always comes out.
