6. By the way, his apology is a red flag to me too. He got what he wanted (you not going out) so he figures he’ll do the ‘nice thing’ now. Without this, he knows it’ll be harder to keep you on the hook for next time. He’s worried you’ll have second thoughts about dating him (which is exactly correct) so hopes a semblance of regret and sweetness will distract you.

I’m sorry that no one had a discussion about what was appropriate and consent with you but telling someone they were assaulted when they’re in the process of trying to understand their situation isn’t always helpful.
