Honestly, my issue is not with the fathering thing. Sperm donation is not unheard of, but this is not the way to carry things out. What was her medical diagnosis? I'd assume if it were something like cancer you'd immediately be leaving him as you see the type of person he is. Which makes me think it's less serious than life threatening and maybe affects her ability to have kids, which for him was a deal breaker.
