I was SAd over a period of 3 years before the age of 12 by my mum's best friend and when she found out she told me to lie to the police (my friend told her parents and her parents reported). My mum didn't want to ruin this man's life (even though he raped her child numerous times). I did lie to the police and have regretted it every single day since.
