Have you maybe even tried to talk to your boyfriend about how you feel? I feel like seeing these posts are due to the writer not knowing what “communication” is. Don’t try talking about open relationships because they are dumb and shitty.
I've also thought about that! It's driving me crazy. I've plenty of arguments why this would not be the case though:
– She admits herself she's not strong rhythmically; and that she can't play jazz; – I know plenty of other professional classical musicians who don't necessarily know how to play folk/jazz/… music with the right 'feeling' – they're just trained to play what's on the sheet music in the right tone; – There are also people who don't (immediately) give her positive feedback. And, well, realistically, nobody really every does – you typically have to find out yourself by indirect cueues, not getting booked,… so getting positive verbal feedback right after a concert doesn't really say much. – I've heard several hundreds of bands, seen thousands of gigs, which I subconciously compare with… – Something really scary: her father is an almost-retired 'professional musician', but the one time I heard him play, that was simply… horrendous… I've never heard anyone play that badly on a scene. Ever since her last gig, I'm terrified that, like him, she doesn't actually really have much *talent*; she just works extremely naked…
But yea, I would like to listen to the recordings to see if it's as bad as I experienced it… don't have access to them yet though.
Well, it’s dicey behavior. The world of cheating has become much smaller because of the Internet things that we would’ve considered harmless flirtations that we would’ve never seen the person again.
