3. Sooo he has an emotional affair at least, what are willing to do about it? For me this would an immediate dealbreaker especially in combination with the rest of his shady behaviour.

   Sounds more like your BF agreed under duress with your newfound boundaries as a couple, why is he a coward? Could be he is very conflict adverse? Still now he gets conflicts anyway so his strategy failed him.
