His friend lives a totally okay/privileged life
However as an early 30 year old he is for the first time living outside of his small close knit home town, brand new (winter) weather, and hasn’t built too much of a life just yet (which is like totallllly okay and a lot to adjust to!)
However, that is where my mind jumped – and I didn’t want to be paranoid or like justify anything to myself. It just felt like there was more to the situation and maybe had a bit more to do with their friendship.

I’m confused. This happened before they got together and the ex didn’t tell her husband about the child… but it’s his fault????
Sure, there is an age gap but as was said it was legal and she may have looked older than what her age is as I’ve seen that happen where I’m from.
OP definitely needs to take some time to herself to assess the current and future situation but to demonize her husband for speculating he is a bad guy due to her age is insane. What if he found the truth of her age and then broke up with her for that? Only he knows.
Why do I feel like they got upset, about the kind of thing, they would laugh at if it didn't come from you? I have more banter with coworkers I know for 4 months. Those friends of his do not like, since they don't want to like you.
I feel like I am missing the info, about your husband attitude, in all of this. Was he on your side, or did he defend his friends? What has he done to make-up for his mistakes, and so on.

Not sure why the surprise, I was and am at risk (lungs weakened due to asthma history) and was working at supermarket in the beginning of pandemic. It is what it is (got covid like 3 times by now). It doesn't matter, that he should have put you at risk of course, but if he is people's person than him being locked up for many months was never going to happen.

His friend was in his life before she was. They might have a friendship no one understands, and that's OK. It's their friendship. Now a gf comes in, and disrupts that friendship, because she doesn't like how they act.
The girlfriend has a choice, she can keep manipulating her boyfriend by getting upset that she's not getting what he's giving to his friend, or she can do the adult thing, and see that it's her insecurity causing her reactions to how she perceives him to be with his friend and fix it.
If he gives up what he had with his friend for the sake of his girlfriend, then the gf might be happy, but he'll end up resenting the hell out of her, and if he loses his best friend because his gf pesters him to change, his girlfriend will suffer heartbreak.
You all think I am giving stupid advice. I am speaking from experience.
I just OP wakes up and realises what she's doing before it gets really bad for her.
