Well, there is one way you can get your girlfriend and her mother talking.. Tell your girlfriend that your mother wants to talk to her about X and that she should give her a call.
At best, they'll talk about those things, at worse, it'll embarrass your MIL enough that she won't talk to your mum about it and then your mum talk to you..
Also, talk to your mum and tell her that the best way to handle this situation would be to tell your girlfriends mum that “she's not going to talk to your g/f about it and that she needs to do it”
