What a selfish and disgusting man. He stinks the house because he doesn't want to use a plunger and nobody can use the toilet in hours?! And clogging the toilet 1 – 2 times the months?! My SO and i are both 41 and never clogged a toilet.
Maybe he should learn “big poop – flush between” or just use a fucking plunger.

Words can hurt, and although it is good you admitted your faults and apologize… It's not gonna make things go back to normal. Give them space and they'll talk when they are ready.
I don’t think I would say anything to be honest. You don’t know if they have a medical condition or something and if they’re struggling with their mental health, you won’t help at all.
I’m pretty sure that they know about the smell, but maybe they just can’t do anything about it. I’m not even sure things will change if you say something, maybe they would just feel uncomfortable and humiliated.

When you've made things so unbalanced, it's on you to make them equal again. You cannot slack and then expect her to continue to want to put in effort for you when you haven't for her.
