My suggestion to avoid this: get proof in writing. Text her friend asking why she initiated sex when you were unconscious and why she thinks her birthday entitles her to any sexual acts. If I were you I would recommend 1500-2000.
I make five times more than my girlfriend. So I pay for stuff most of the time. She pitches in here and there so I definitely don't feel like she is mooching off me. I would approach this situation the same way. Just help chip in, it doesn't have to be exactly calculated or technically fair but as long as we're both contributing where we feel comfortable then it's all good. I definitely feel like he should be contributing something, and not a token amount like $500. But think about this, he pays $1,500 or 2000 a month for a much nicer living arrangement.
