A rental property that you would own the majority of after it was the marital home that you owned the majority of. What happens if you guys disagree on something regarding the house? Is it equal and you have to find a compromise, or when it comes down to it does the majority owner get the make the final decision?
You're seeing it as any equity is good equity. I think she'd much rather be on equal footing with making decisions with her husband. It's the same reason she didn't want to move in until she can contribute – she wants to be on equal footing with you in the relationship.
I would suggest an option that whatever hasn't been paid back to your parents upon selling/divorce is paid back TO your parents and then you split everything else 50/50. That way it's your parents getting back their money vs you and the house is otherwise split between you.
