well, i do understand how he got there, it's very common for people who have gone through traumatic situations to take an Issue relating to their inaction/action that their partner wants solved, and a circumstance caused by this issue, as personal attacks.
i suggest that you approach him again and tell him how you are feeling, but, rather than saying that it's his inaction that caused you to feel bad, say it as a sort of, general statement, that you've been feeling less connected, and that you don't think the fact that he is unwilling and unhappy with doing those things with you is helping it.

A degree of freaking out is normal. If his freak out came on suddenly and is a reversal of his feelings for most of the pregnancy, something must have happened. Someone said or did something. Maybe it triggered some really bad memories from his childhood, and now he’s thinking he’s doomed to be like his dad as a father.
He needs to talk to you about what triggered this.
If he won’t, I would refuse to get an abortion. You’re 34 and we’re very lucky to get pregnant the first time with IVF. If you want to have a baby, this is your chance.
