First, there’s a significant difference between hitting a woman (or anyone) in the specific context of what literally everyone would know you’re talking about when you mention it vs hitting someone specifically for the purpose of a consensual sex act.
You went in softly and she asked for more. At some point it was more than she could physically handle. But that’s not your fault. It’s an unfortunate situation. I could honestly say that you didn’t need to apologize, but it’s fine that you did. She said it’s fine but you refuse to let it go. Trust her word and move on from it.
Now after all that, the most important thing is that you should never do anything you’re uncomfortable with. You weren’t off the bat but you gave it a shot for her. Fair enough. After doing so, you’re not even more uncomfortable. That’s ok! But that means there shouldn’t be a next time. If that’s a deal breaker for her, it would suck, but ultimately it would mean you’re sexually incompatible. Or maybe she’ll be completely fine without it and all is good.
