So he can likely take you to court and force you to pay child support until the kid is 18 and that order would continue unless and until he were to get married and have his partner adopt the child and take up your responsibilities legally. But even then, that's only if they actually formally adopt, he could get married and still take your money until the kid is 18.

I’m glad that weed works for you and your symptoms but that’s not really the point. Weed can have various different effects and in some people, it causes paranoia, hallucinations and anxiety. Painkillers also have heavy warning that you shouldn’t take them and operate a car or any kind of machinery.
Besides that, as someone who does smoke on my days off, I can very easily tell you how delusional lots of smokers are. They think that you can’t get addicted and there’s nothing wrong with being high 24/7. Lots of the comments here show that same sentiment. As if you can’t criticize someone for going to work high because it’s weed.
Unless OP’s girlfriend has debilitating pain, heavy depression or anxiety, there is zero medical need to be consistently high. At that point, it’s a problem.
