while you are notr married you share properties. my guess is that your attorney should ask her if she want to buy back your part of the common possession or if she just want the money when you will sell it (you can keep it by payeing her half of the price). with an attorney you could take out what you have paid from the common total, reducing the final value to cut in half.

There sre two feeling you need to seperate: love and infatuation. Second is the giddy feeling and butterflies, but it is more superficial. It can happen when you don't even know a person. It is nothing to build a relationship on it but a reason to get to know each other better. Love is the deeper feeling. Trust and security. You know the other person pretty much, the good and bad things, the past, the wish. This deeper feeling just can happen after months. So if someone comes with “i love you” in the first month, run.
