2. You're clearly sexually incompatible, and at this young stage in your life should really just break up and move on already. Why sign up for a miserably sexually frustrating long haul when you're already “feeling miserable” in your own words?

3. You could resume the benefits but I'd suggest looking else where for long term partnership. Your friend is doing the same. Make some new friends elsewhere, particularly around your interests, and do not tell this friend about your attempts other than “I'm going out for a bit”. If anything, there's no point in being miserable over a situation that isn't in your hands.

   Seeking people as partners is tough, but you are already at a disadvantage if the person you are seeking, well, is already with someone else.

Not sure why a lot of the comments being replied to the post are deleted, but to answer a few that I saw in the inbox: I do usually do nice things for her, but most of which involve treating her to food and taking her out to dates. Although I recently planned a trip to Boston for valentines and paid for most of it.

   I mean it’s easy to notice and point that out now that it seems super obvious

   But you know how it can be, you don’t see the signs till they are pointed out, then that’s all you can see

   Yeah, that was a major red flag that could have stopped it before it even started, but when you’re young and “in love” it’s all to easy to not think rationally enough to don that ?
