This is what I immediately thought. It might not be the case, but it seems like OP is conflating a need for intimacy with a need for sex. She may want more love and intimacy to fulfill her needs and to feel sexy and horny, and he may just not be fulfilling that.
OP: Have you tried just being affectionate physically/verbally/and in any way that speaks her love language? Not for a week, but for a few months, and never asking or hinting about sex. Leaving it completely off the table and touching her in all the ways that she likes without any pressure or hope of anything else. Trying to replace those memories of stress about expectations might help you two to re-acquaint yourselves with each other in a healthy and loving way.
