2. I'm 36 n my bf will be 24 Friday. We will be together 2 years first week of March. He told me he was 27 when we met. He likes me to be mommy like to him too. 3. It sounds like your wife wanted a companion more than a puppy. I just find it naked to believe that in five years of begging for her own pet, she didn’t think about breed at all? I mean, she had five years to plan on getting her dream dog. Wouldn’t you expect she would have known what size dog she wanted, done research about breeds/life spans/food/energy levels/common health concerns/training/grooming needs/veterinary plans etc.

   I feel like there was a lack of communication on both your parts (you seem to realize taking care of an animal is a huge responsibility, but never talked to your wife about the kind of dog she wanted???) and now it’s time to either get her on board with raising this dog, or re-joking it.
