As a fellow victim of this type of abuse, I can understand not wanting to do the work of fully cutting this person off. I myself have drawn a like at my kids, but feel that it’s overall more work and pain to formally cut off my enablers. Your wife needs to understand your perspective. That AS the victim, you can decide for yourself when you wanna rip that bandaid, even if that’s never.

Tbh, I side with your wife just because of your kids. The guy you were having laughs with, in the past when he could get away with it and when he had a need, was fully willing to commit heinous acts against children and they could have been yours. You discount the transgressions because they were against yourself. And you have that right. Your wife does not forgive what happened to little you and sees it as an ACTIVE evil. You can’t close up that type of evil. You can’t let time wash it away.
I sympathize with you but aide with your wife. That fine, sure, you need to be ok with it and let it go. But you can do that while choosing your family.

Sucks dude but if she’s pregnant, you’re stuck for 18 years. Only hope would be a paternity test showing you’re not the dad.. not sure if one can be done before birth, but in your situation, you’ll probably have to do it in secret (without the mom knowing) to get any concrete answers.
My advice – stick it out until her period. Put on a happy face, be sweet & once it starts, you drop her like a sack of potatoes. You break things off now, she gets pissed/knocked up by someone else but she’ll still says it’s yours.
There are many stories even on here of someone having an affair and the family heck even the whole village know, except for the betrayed partner.
