I'm sorry for your loss. My mom has been gone for 20 years and I still talk to her. I also watched her it the ICU on a vent, hooked up to more IVs than I thought possible, and having to pull life support. It's horrible and I can still remember the pattern and pitch of the beeping tones her ventilator made. If my hubs made any one of those comments yours made, I'd have kicked his ass into next week.
