Why is it whenever i see posts with a huge age gap like this, theres always some kind of form fuckery from the older person.
It's almost like we shouldnt be dating people that are nearly twice our age.

I've been in a similar situation. I was MC with my dad for a couple of years. He heard through the grapevine that I'd gotten engaged and wanted to talk.
My mom and I met up with him in public and I basically told him that I didn't need or want him to pay for my wedding so it was clear that I wasn't meeting with him for money. I also told him that if he didn't it together, he wouldn't be welcome at my wedding, but he also wouldn't be welcome in our lives to include any future grandchildren.
If you do choose to conract him and tell him that you're not interested on a relationship and that he's not welcome at your graduation, I would recommend doing so either via email or text. Male sure it's done in writing so you can prove that you did, in fact, inform him. Also find out if there will be security at the event and make sure to give a picture of your dad and let them know that he's not welcome.
Let your mom know where you stand and that you don't want him to have a ticket. Since you're 18 (assuming you're in the states), you're an adult and it's probably ok for her to block him at least until after graduation.
I'm so sorry that this is a situation you're in. I hope that despite this, your graduation is memorable for you and that you have an amazing day.
So she has profusely apologized and said that if I did that she’d be livid BUT she wouldn’t break up with me. She’s offered to block the guy on socials but I really don’t see what that matters or does because that can be changed back in a second. Idk everything else about her is great but I’m just not sure what steps are needed to fix things
