I think this is one of those “hindsight is always 20/20”. You're right that we're all strangers on the internet and only seeing one snippet into your life from only your perspective. However, this behaviour isn't normal at all and if you do end up ending things, you'll probably realise just how weird he was. You absolutely are his secret or side piece, or at the very least you're one of the people he's hiding for whatever reason. Whether you choose to end it or not is your choice and an internet stranger shouldn't decide that, but i guess the question is why would you want to commit yourself to this? You're not living together, you don't have kids, there's nothing legally tying the two of you together, getting out is pretty easy and if it were me, I'd be cutting ties and finding someone who was actually proud of me (which I did and my life has drastically improved – hindsight for me was 20/20)

Itās interesting that OP only replies to comments that are positive and encouraging to him, not ones that offer criticism. Itās also interesting that he ignores comments about therapy or couples counseling. Obviously, counselors hold you accountable to making change.
