To be clear, you are not expecting too much, in any way. His behaviour is not good enough. This might seem minor, but you said he does his own washing. If anything tells you that he’s a lazy deadbeat it’s that he does his own washing and not for the family. Oh, and doing his washing and just the dishwasher is not pulling his weight. They are two very quick and easy jobs.
