Have you even read this text? They kept hanging out , but one time , suddenly, its like he had wronfed her in some way by proposing yet another friendly hangout. I cant see why you're trying to put shame on the man here.
If this isn't a relationship extinction event for you then you can't call it a “dealbreaker”. It's unclear why a vape would upset you more than a cigar when objectively the latter presents more of a health risk than the former. Most people would probably tell you this just isn't a big deal. But if you've laid down the law on this and he's agreed to it but broke your trust anyway, you might choose to follow through and stop dating him. Or you might recognize that one hit of a vape likely isn't going to create a chronic addiction that will impact his later life. Only you can decide.
I agree that this could potentially be a bigger deal, especially if they get more serious. My ex-husband was like this. He had all these weird “rules” for things I could/couldn't buy, including sheets and towels. Nothing pastel, nothing pink, nothing floral, nothing orange or peach because they were close to pink. Even the bedspread and sheets couldn't be “too girly.” I had white sheer curtains with a very subtle pale grey floral pattern that he wouldn't hang or let me hang because they were “too feminine.”
When I was getting divorced and moved into my own place, the first thing I did was get a floral shower curtain and peach and pink towels. 🙂
