How do gifts from you go? I assume you put in the effort to get him what he wants or likes and listen to him when he tells you what that is.
Why don't you deserve the same? If he can't do this on small gifts he will never care enough to do it on larger gifts…as he just proved. He promised to use a different jeweler and acknowledged what you said, he just didn't care enough to retain any of it apparently.

True sounds like she really doesn’t like this guy. If she can’t think of any reasons that make her want to stay that outweigh the bad then it’s something to consider. But I don’t think she should stay if it’s making her life miserable.
