YTA. It does leave her at a disadvantage. Not only do you make almost double her salary, but you’re holding marriage over her head as the reason you want to do 50/50. You should be splitting bills proportionally. 50/50 only works if you’re in a similar wage group. And before you come in saying “wah but the other post said differently”, there are things that applied in that post that do not apply to your situation. You’re coming across as cheap.

It’s about consideration. If you notice a mistake, do your best to fix it especially when it causes your partner pain to something she didn’t consent to. He didn’t seem to care he caused her pain and did it again. And keeps doing it. This is a serious mistake.
I bet if his boss called him out on a serious mistake he would do his best to correct his error and put things in place to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Also that he wouldn’t have given his boss attitude about it happening in the first place. His partner deserves that respect.
