I cant speak to the level of respect you feel is lacking but I will say this. Nearly every sentence in your post has an exclamation point. This is telling me something about your view of the crisis. You seem to feel everything you do is dramatic and damn near better be recognized or else to hell with her. She has the entire job of the kid to manage as well as chores.
