It shows either disregard for OP or poor judgement to go work out with another woman's husband in their home, and not have some sort of conversation about it. Even in passing. They must talk, given she's taking OP's children to the bus.

Your partner's ex is a completely different kettle of fish because they are the ex. If they are trying to stay friends for whatever reason and there is ex history then of course you shouldn't even joke about it. You should also like not reminisce about couple things you did or whatever while two old friends chatting about friend days are totally fine.
Seems like they wanted space to decide if they wanted to still be friends with you or not. And decided to not be friends with you anymore. And as for your friends not caring. Why should they? He didn’t assault you or verbally abuse you? He decided he didn’t want to be around you and probably thinks telling you why would just hurt your feelings or be used as ammunition against him by you telling the other members of your friend group what he said. You seem very entitled. An adult has a right to decide who they choose to spend their limited free time with.
It was our step brother who did it to us when he was 13. My sister was 9, and I was 5. Yes, she knew. She found out about my sisters abuse first. She kicked my step dad out of the house and they separated for about 3 months until she decided to have him back. She was really ashamed that she married someone who’s son could do that to her daughters. I’m not sure if it was a combination of love bombing, or the need for the financial stability that made my mom come to the decision to get back together with him. But my sister and I never faulted our step dad for what his son did to us. If anything, he was grieving over it as well. He seemed very distraught about it at the time. My mom didn’t find out that I was also abused by our step brother until I was 11. I did not know until that point that what he did was bad. I didn’t know what it even was until I ended up telling my sister and she had to explain it to me. My mom sobbed and locked herself in the room. I don’t remember much of what happened after that.
