  1. Just my opinion, and it certainly isn’t easy.

Just stop. Think of it like a tobacco addiction. Statistically, people who quit cold Turkey have the most success…. Doesn’t mean it’s easy.

I feel like you know the obvious, you know you’re better off ending toxic relationships… so ask yourself, what is it that keeps you coming back?

Are you afraid to be alone?

Is there some type of unresolved childhood trauma that draws you to unhealthy relationships?

Do you blame yourself for what’s happening and hope to fix what you think is your fault?

    Is change difficult for you?

    Etc etc

I don’t know the answers, and clearly you’re struggling to find them as well. So ask yourself these types of questions, and seek therapy, become the best version of yourself you can be.

    Good luck

  2. Seem like you have your priorities set while your man doesn't have any. I hate to say it but the way you describe him you will end up being a parent to him than a girlfriend.Your too young for this kind of step especially with a person who might end up being a burden than a companion.

  3. It seems like she is very immature, my friend. It is okay to feel insecure but this is not one of those times, she definitely chosed her friends over you, she doesnt seem to care about your relation and well, I dont think you should invest more time on it mostly because youve already talked to her about it

  4. Hello /u/throooowawayxsdj,

Your post was removed for the following reason(s):

Your title did not include at least two ages/genders or was not formatted correctly

    Posts must:

include details about the involved parties including ages, genders, and length of relationship, and

request advice in real situations involving two or more people

We are enforcing the two rules listed above by making all titles start with ages/genders in the following format:

[##X][##X], [## X][## X], or [##-X][##-X] where ## is the age and X is the gender (currently M, F, T, A, NB, FTM, MTF but more can be added). You can have more than two ages/genders listed, but you must have at least two at the beginning of your title. Here is an example:

[34NB][88-F] We are two people in an example post

Please resubmit with a corrected title.

  5. This sounds very much like negging. Google it up.

Girl, he wants you so beaten down emotionally to the point you're too scared to leave him despite him abusing and mistreating you.

Give him the great surprise of his life by actually leaving him ASAP.

  6. We were texting and she hasn’t replied to it yet. She avoided it, replied to another message and told me, she can’t text right now

  7. Okay first of all, 8 years is not that big of an age difference so don’t let Reddit convince you it is

Secondly, you know what they call people who use the pull out method, right? Parents. Stop using pull out!!! Even pre-come can contain sperm! Consider a copper IUD, maybe? It’s 99.9% effective and it’s hormone-free.

Third, what he did was a form of sexual assault. He knows how you feel about it, and rather than clarify “hey, do you mean I can come inside you bare?” he just did it. The onus was on him to communicate more clearly (since your wishes were well-established), and he didn’t bother. He took advantage of you, and that’s the one thing that makes the age difference iffy.

I think maybe the “benefits” should end with this dude.

  8. How does someone you used to be attracted to and have sex with become a “brotherly” type of “friend”?

I have a couple of exes that are friends. No chance in hell I'd think of them as a brother. We are distant friends and I respect their relationships. But come on..

Am I the only one that thinks it's a load of crap? Someone set me straight if I'm crazy. I'm a woman and I just can't see this being true..
