  1. You can deny insecurities all you like but they’re flashing like a neon sign. Get over it dude, they’re friends going to a sports game. Chill the heck out.

  2. Finally, someone with the correct perspective. I am shocked at all the he is insecure comments. Sounds like a date to me too but she doesn't seem to be hiding the game day. He has the right to feeling insecure in this scenario

  3. Because they're going to be affected by this. And the incoming custody battle which hopefully won't be too damaging. With that being said, having two unhappy parents in a marriage would also affect them

  4. Good riddance he ruined your birthday and was aggressive and violent towards you over food?! He knows that’s your things and doesn’t respect it.

  5. I don’t know for sure. But I will always worry about what happened to her after I leave. If she does something after the breakup then that will weigh me down even more and it will be forever. I just don’t know how to go about leaving without making sure she will be safe because I will never forgive myself if she’s not. The other guy suggested I tell her family what’s going on, and I might just try that

  6. Hello /u/woodentoilet04,

Your post was removed for the following reason(s):

Your title did not include at least two ages/genders or was not formatted correctly

    Posts must:

include details about the involved parties including ages, genders, and length of relationship, and

request advice in real situations involving two or more people

We are enforcing the two rules listed above by making all titles use the following formatting:

[##X][##X], [## X][## X], or [##-X][##-X] where ## is the age and X is the gender (currently M, F, T, A, NB, FTM, MTF but more can be added). You can have more than two ages/genders listed, but you must have at least two. Here is an example:

[34NB][88-F] We are two people in an example post

Please resubmit with a corrected title.

  7. Ok, while you’re playing nice to keep the tuition money rolling in, DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO BECOME THIS GIRL’S DOUBLE.

Like oh, you think new mom will love this new dress? Guess what? So do I. Borrow her clothes. Heck, buy your own pair. If anyone asks, it’s because you have so much in common but if I saw my partner wearing the same outfit as my hypothetical child, while also being the same age, I would be disgusted beyond recovery. Now my dick-focused brain isn’t thinking “damn, she looks hard in a bikini”. It’s thinking, “doesn’t my daughter have that same one?”

Pretend to date a man older than you. You don’t need to go 50s. But there’s gotta be a 35 year old you can match with on a dating app and start dropping hints about around the house. Dad has to either be ok with it or be a hypocrite. If he’s not ok… why? Is it like… gross and creepy, or something? We are playing a subtle game of warfare here. Nothing can be outright called troublesome or rude… but it’s gotta cause some triggers in your dad’s mind where he starts to see sense.

Look, the reality here is your dad is gross and kinda stupid. He didn’t make a mistake when he started dating a 21 year old, while being more than double her age… for almost 2 years. There’s no looking past that and getting them to break up won’t change that fact. But maybe we can get him to date a nicer teenager the next time around. (Sarcasm but kinda not really. I am sorry. I really am. This all sucks but that doesn’t mean we can’t win.)

So lets take it back a couple, we have had issues in the past on syncing our love languages. About a month ago we got into a huge fight that ended in her going to stay with her mom for a week almost. We talked and told each other what we needed and things have been going great! I started going to do more things with her like painting, going to casino, movies, dinner… etcThe past 3 weeks I have been working 4×10 shifts instead of 5×8 shifts cause of the holidays and im not a contractor so i dont get holidays paid off. I volunteered cause we need the money for bills. Well 96 hours ago i came home 3 hours into my shift to drop something off that she needed and give her a hug and she says i smell like perfume. I said im sorry i didnt know why i smelled like that and gave her a couple reasonings. She slept in our room mates (20F her best friend) room thst night. She ignored me all day. Next day i tried talking to her she blew up and freaked out cause apparently i made her feel crazy for thinking i was cheating on her. Her reasonings for thinking im cheating. 1. I been working late. 2. i been staying late 3. I have to travel to different hospitals for work and there are female nurses there. She is stuck on this idea of me cheating on her. Ignored me for 72 hours and i told her if she left for national guard this weekend without talking i would give her papers. So I printed out the papers to petition to just see if she would try to stop me and see if she cares about it, she just looked at it and walked to the car after i walked away and got into my buddies car and drove off. She hasnt came back from guard so still havent talked. I just dont know what to do anymore. I feel as if she almost projecting and deflecting. Im always made out to be the bad guy and I have to change and she never does. I think this the end. So much for our almost 2 year marriage and 3 year relationship.

  9. Usually it’s “hey can you not add random girls on Snapchat now they were dating” and he finds weird loopholes like “I accepted her request I didn’t add her” but this time in particular ^ I didn’t even really set a boundary I just noticed it and basically got reprimanded for being uncomfortable by it.

  10. All do respect, but you don't know that he will or won't prioritize any future kids. (You thought you were going to be his priority – until you weren't.) His siblings aren't going to get better, he is going to always put them first. If you have healthy children they will never be first, because they can't be.

  11. I left my narcissist ex for many reasons but one of them was that I had no doubt he would cheat on me if I got overweight or less attractive even temporarily, which is basically inevitable when having a family and getting older. He was on Tinder during a time I had gained maybe 15 lbs about 6 months into our relationship. Piece of shit.

  12. I’m an animal lover. I do domestic and wildlife rescue. I have pets of my own. I foster. It’s not uncommon for me to spend a couple thousand a month on pet related expenses but I also make a lot of money.

10+ animals and spending 75% of your income in vet bills indicates a mental health issue to me.

You’re not going to be able to rent a place with all of those animals and even if you buy a place, most townships/cities have limits on how many pets you can have as well in the places where I’ve lived. And I’ve lived all over the US, Europe, and Africa.

I dont think there is much to discuss here other than telling her that it’s a 2-3 pet limit at the places you can afford to lease. Then it’s up to her to make some tough choices.

  13. He never says that’s the only content on the phone. In fact, he mentions only skimming that string of text in a hurry. He didn’t bother looking closer at the phone or reading anything else. I am sure by now, it has already been confirmed to be the friends phone. I also don’t think it’s likely that a wife would leave a secret phone out in the open in the bathroom where husband can find it.

  14. Your girlfriend is either having an affair or is his sugar baby. If it was innocent she should've been clear with you.

  15. Irrespective of how good or bad a person is, even if you tell everyone what they did to you, you cannot decide how others will behave. If your friend chose to continue to keep in touch with your ex even after you told her what he did, it's her decision. You can choose to let go of that friend for your peace of mind, not because they didn't pick a side. Continue going to therapy and bring this up, your ideal state once you've healed from this would be indifference usually. Good luck. 🙂

  16. Agree that this is not healthy. Be wary of using the argument of “sunk costs” as an excuse for continuing as is. There is an emotional attachment to anything in which you have invested a lot of time or money, but it’s better to evaluate the arrangement on its merits and cut loose if it’s not working.
