Agreed. Usually I don’t get onboard with the knee-jerk “end your relationship” advice Reddit typically gives. However, this sounds like a dealbreaker for both parties. I’d seriously consider allowing each other to pursue their goals independently, otherwise resentment is likely to cripple the relationship longterm.
