For one, he was 23 when you started dating and you were 17. That's an icky age gap. He's a groomer, and he wants this perfect women don't fart fucking rainbows and butterflies. If he can't handle bodily functions he's not mature enough to be in a relationship.

The way these tend to play out, she'll have her way with other relationships/casual encounters then realise what she's lost and come crawling back.
I'm not trying to badmouth her, it can happen to a lot of people, just make sure that if it does come to breaking up, she's aware sleeping with other people won't make your relationship better if you both decide to return to it.
You should definitely join AA and stay away from alcohol. You may still be a functioning alcohol, but it won't stay that way forever and you owe it to your babies to be able to actually take care of them. What if your deminished reaction time from being drunk is the difference between you being able to save one of them from a horrible fall or something?
You should also stay separated from your husband. He is obviously not invested in your relationship and the pain won't get any better. He seems to have a low sex drive or he's not attracted to you anymore. Either way, it's not worth staying together as the chances or either situation changing is very remote and you will just become more and more depressed which will make staying sober so much harder.

There’s definitely more to this story. If you both don’t have time for the relationship, maybe you need to talk about whether you still want to be together. This is very dramatic on both sides for going for a simple dinner
Tell HIM to cut it out. Try that first. Give him one chance to get his shit together and if he persists, well…
