1. I have a pretty good guess at what happened. He was attracted to you at the start and ignored things that should make him stop pursuing a romantic relationship with you earlier. Or maybe you weren't like that then and something has changed?

   Also: why is anyone calling that guy manipulative or abusive in any way? Sure, not breaking things off isn't the best possible thing, but he doesn't seem to be unreasonable in his demands? 4. You on-line in the relationship so know it better than I. To my mind, breaks are the first step to dissolution. And maybe that's the right answer. At the end of the day, it takes two people willing to see each others side to make a relationship. Everybody gets heard and compromises are made. And you never stop working on things. Good luck!
