I get it, you look up to your grandpa and it’s always painful when people say bad things about the ones you love. I would sit him down and say “grandpa those comments you made a couple years ago about my father have stuck with me and it really upset/hurt me. I know dad messed up but at the end of the day he’s my dad and I love him no matter what. Could you please not make negative comments about my parents because it hurts my feelings?”.
If he’s ok with it cool if not and it’s not something your comfortable compromising on you may not be compatible
Kids get bounced around the foster system because most couples looking to adopt want newborns who don't have any issues. You can talk to local adoption agencies to be sure but if you can find him/her a good home now then he/she won't end up in the foster system at all.
The best thing you can do for him/her is make a decision and a commitment one way or another right now and stick to it.

A competent couple’s therapist that specializes in trauma.
Do not see each other for at least 6 months, except for weekly live! sessions.
That, or block everywhere and move on.

They never have or dated prior. I’ve asked them both and Ik that they haven’t that’s why is extremely odd to me. I even asked her prior to anything if she liked him but there was seemingly 0 signs of any interest prior to us dating
Uhm let me put it this way he knew she saw her ex before i did so he went off on her in a way to protect me and i was in shock disbelief that she had done this without letting me know…so i dindt day anything to stop the situation from unfolding the way it did
