Your boyfriend has a boundary. You want to text you ex without your current bf knowing, aka break that boundary. Within the confines of your relationship it probably would fall under cheating. You should have a conversation with your boyfriend about why you want to text him, and if he still disagrees you should either not text your ex or break up with your boyfriend.
